My "Community Confidence" initiative aims to empower you, the residents, by addressing the key issues that affect our daily lives. Together, we can work toward a vibrant, secure, and thriving neighborhood.

1. Crime Prevention

In District 9, I believe that a safe community is the foundation of our collective confidence and well-being. I am committed to enhancing our neighborhood's safety through proactive crime prevention strategies that engage and empower every resident.

In District 9, I understand that preparedness is essential for safeguarding our community against disasters like fires and winter freezes. As your representative, I am dedicated to enhancing our emergency preparedness efforts through proactive measures and partnerships with local agencies.

I will advocate for community training programs that educate residents on crucial topics such as fire safety, winter freeze risks, and emergency response strategies. By providing hands-on training, I aim to empower you with the knowledge and skills needed to protect yourselves and your families.

Collaboration is vital, and I will work closely with the San Antonio Water System (SAWS), City Public Service Energy (CPSE), and the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) to develop effective emergency response plans focused on fire and freeze prevention and management. Together, we will ensure our neighborhoods are equipped to handle emergencies effectively.

3. Road Improvements:

In District 9, I recognize that safe and well-maintained roads are essential for the overall well-being of our community. I will prioritize the improvement of our roads and infrastructure to ensure safety for all residents, making transportation safer and more efficient for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists alike.

To achieve this, I will advocate for increased funding and resources dedicated to road maintenance, repairs, and construction projects. This includes conducting regular assessments to identify areas in need of immediate attention and ensuring timely repairs on potholes and damaged surfaces. I will also work closely with city officials and local contractors to streamline construction processes, minimizing disruptions while enhancing the quality of our infrastructure.

To keep small business owners and residents in District 9 informed about construction interruptions, I will implement a comprehensive communication strategy that includes regular updates through various channels.
