I am not your typical political candidate - and that is precisely what makes me the right choice for you. I am a devoted wife, loving mother, successful entrepreneur, corporate executive, and cancer survivor, I bring a fresh perspective and genuine passion for serving others. 

I refuse to compromise on my authenticity and I refuse to compromise on what District 9 deserves.

I believe that leadership should be grounded in real-life experience, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to the people I serve. My journey has instilled in me a deep understanding of resilience and the invaluable support of a strong community.

In 2013, my experiences led me to found my small business, DOLLISTIC, a restorative micropigmentation studio located in the heart of Stone Oak. I have been blessed to be able to help individuals regain their confidence after facing life-altering challenges from chemotherapy, alopecia, trichotillomania, and domestic abuse.

Through my work, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of community support, which fuels my desire to create positive change in District 9. Our community deserves a representative who genuinely listens to their concerns and actively advocates for their needs. I am confident that I am the best person for the job. I possess the skills necessary to tackle complex city issues effectively.

Prior to launching my small business, I spent a decade as a Corporate Executive for Fortune 500 companies. I’ve developed the leadership, financial expertise, and problem-solving skills needed to serve District 9 effectively. From strategic planning and workforce oversight to budgeting and community engagement, I understand how to make data-driven decisions that drive real results. My experience has prepared me to tackle challenges head-on and advocate for smart, sustainable solutions that benefit all San Antonians. I’m committed to using my business acumen and passion for this city to create a stronger, more prosperous future for our community.

San Antonio isn’t just where we live—it’s the place we chose to call our forever home. Though I was raised in Western Michigan, I fell in love with this incredible city the moment I arrived. As the saying goes, "I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!"

After more than a decade navigating the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship in Washington, DC, my husband, Felipe Garza Jr, and I knew we wanted something more for our family. We were drawn to San Antonio’s rich culture, welcoming community, and the deep roots my husband has here—growing up, playing baseball at McAllister Park, and making lifelong memories. Now, as we raise our son, Felipe III, we’re invested in the future of this city we love.
